I just installed some 11.5.3 instances, and am trying to bring them up to patched level using the Platinum 3.1 installation.

The first issue I ran into was that when extracting the database files from the Platinum installation, it expects them all to be in one place, but in the Applications installation, you can specify various DATA_TOP's (log, sys, data, index). The installation guide says there are no platinum requirements. Long story short, I had to create the control file script by hand instead of using the platinum install script, just a warning to anyone who might run into this situation.

The question I have now is that when doing the plat31_sun_apps_install, it is prompting for a Server port. It doesn't say Database Server port, Web Server Port, Forms Server Port, Reports Server Port, etc. Just "Server Port". My assumption is the Forms server port, but I want confirmation before I finish the installation.

So if anyone has installed this yet, I'd appreciate an fast answer
