ORA-00119 during upgradation
Hi,
I am doing db upgradation from 9.2.0.7 to 10.2.0.3 on windows
While running dbca, the upgradation is fails, with the error
ORA-00119 invalide specification for system parameter.
LOCAL_LISTENER
failure in processing system parameters.
My source ie 9.2.0.7 init.ora also doesn't have this parameter.
I am not sure why it is taking this value and from where.
If i say Ignore, then it says oracle not available and forces me to exit.
can somebody guide me.
thx
sunil

You probably have to add local_listener parameter to your init.ora file pointing to the same service you want to upgrade.
By the way, there is not such a word as "upgradation".

Pavb,
Thanx. I will try to add the parameter.
Here is the excerpt from the WordWeb dictionary
Noun: upgradation
Usage: Asia
Act or process of upgrading a computer network, hardware, software, etc; upgrade
May be not used in your part of the world, but i guess it is Ok to use in Asia...
