Hi all does any one have a spreadsheet for table sizing?

    Good morning,
I am looking for a spreadsheet that can be used to compute the size of tables. I am creating new database schemas and each table is going to have 100000 rows. I previously had a spread sheet that can be used to compute the amount of space needed. If anyone has one I would really appreciate it!
    thanks!

only you can work that out. Dependant on the number of columns, row size etc..

Or do you want something that you plug in all the relevant values and it comes up with an naswer (be quicker to write it yourself)

How about just creating some tables and slapping in sample data, then measuring? works for me.

I once worked for a company that used a spreadsheet. It tried to cram all of the data into one extent, allowing it a second extent if it needed it, a Ouija board would have done as well.

I changed the process to use uniform extents even though were were still using DMT.

Average Rowsize * number of rows.
