Thread: drop a database

    what is dbassist?? and if you have to delete a functioning database and install a new one how would you do that... what steps would you follow.. Thx

    To drop the db in unix,
    1. shut down the instance from svrmgrl
    2. Remove all datafiles from OS
    3. Remove all files from bdump, cdump, udump
