This is regarding a installation of Oracle 8.1.6.1.0 on Red Hat Linux. Oracle installed successfully and I did not receive any errors but now I am seeing mainly 2 issues that I have no leads on. I would appreciate it if any of you guys who might have experienced the same issues might be able to help me out.
1) I am seeing trace files in the udump directory with the following error:
skgm warning: EINVAL creating segment of size 0000000034438000
fix shm parameters in /etc/system or equivalent
skgm warning: EINVAL creating segment of size 0000000034435000
fix shm parameters in /etc/system or equivalent
2) when I try to bring up the db config. assisteant. I get the following message:
shell-init: could not get current directory
cd_links: could not get current directory
shell-init: could not get current directory
cd_links: could not get current directory
I would appreciate it if any of you could tell me what might the environment be missing?
Thank You,
Chenab
