I am just comparing the benefits and maintenance, admin difficulties of using raw devices for Oracle 8i server on IBM AIX platform.
Are there any known performace issues in using JFS (default AIX file system) ?

would there be considerable advantage in using raw devices ?
any suggestions would be appreciated.
