    Wink no need to worry

    Hey pal
I really don't think you need to worry about this. Since the economy is so slow now... I just wonder how many companies are willing to spend any extra bulks for upgrade to 9i.
As for that piece of OCP cert, just spend some time on your 8i upgrade. Eventually, you will still need to pass this one in order to take 9i.

    regards,

I would be very surprised if Oracle decided to retire the 8i track anytime soon. They haven't even retired the 8 track yet, and just retired the 7.3 track in August of last year. Also, if Oracle planned to retire this track, wouldn't you think it would be posted on their site with the rest of the exams that their getting rid of (http://www.oracle.com/education/certification/index.html?ocpnews.html)? And wouldn't they wait until the 9i test came out?
