Thread: migration oracle 7.3.4.0 to 8.1.6.0

    Question

    i have a database in oracle 7.3.4, i have to migrate to oracle version 8.1.6.0, this database only have replication and it's production. I want to user export format to export the database.

    the replication don't have problem?

    do you recommend me anything else?

    If this is not very small database I would rather recomend migrating using Oracle Migration Assistant or Oracle Migration Utility. It is *much* faster and more straightforward than exp/imp.
