    ORA-27101 shared memory does not exit

    do you set the Env correct ?
    from where you are accessing the database ??remote ?

    Ora-01113- Needs Media Recovery

    need help please
    my database has the following error shutdown or initialization in progress
    but on trying to resolve fron dos command I'm not getting this error

    Ora-01113 file 17 needs media recovery

    kindly assist me.

    I think you need to apply media recovery to file 17

    Stealing from Davey "what did you do to get in this situation"?Are you running in archivelog mode?do you have backups along with archivelogs?
