Thread: Prodn. problem.....ORA-7445 - Urgent.....

    Hi guys,

    We are running 8.1.6 on Sun box. We had a hard disk problem 2 weeks back and we restored everything from a backup. Database seem to be ok for a week and now, we have got ORA-7445 error on the alert log followed by ORA-600 errors.

    Also, logging into sqlplus gives ORA-04045 on DBMS_OUTPUT compilation.....

    Can anyone relate to this problem and tell me what could have caused this error and why all the system packages & Procs became invalid?

    Any suggestion / reply would be highly appreicated.....

    ORA-7445 errors should be reported to Oracle customer support. When you get an ORA-7445, it usually means you have hit a bug...

    ORA-7445

    Oracle is looking at the problems and they don't seem to accept that it is a bug....

    Is there any way to compile the system packages in a specific order?

    Solution....

    Hi guys,

    Just getting back to you on what happened on our system. When you get 7445, the first thing to check is your controller and hard disks. We had a bad controller and all the problems were solved after that.
