Block Corruption
Hi Guys
Iam using 8.1.7 and rman catalog is also same version as the target database.
Iam taking a Backup using Rman thru Veritas Netbackup, when I look at the database backup I find that rman reports that there is one Block corruption when the backup is taken, when I look into the catalog.
I find in the target database that particular block is not used.
How do I avoid using the corrupt block in the database or is there any precaution I need to take
Thanks,
sanga

Metalink says..
An error on an UNUSED Oracle block can be ignored as Oracle will create a new block image should the block need to be used so any existing problem on the block will never get read.
See this doc for details.
