    Question Migrating Oracle 7.1.3 to 8.1.7 on Unix?

    I am trying to get some more information on the above mentioned topic. Unfortunately, metalink does not give me sufficient information. Does anyone have any other sources they would like to suggest?
    I am looking for a 'step-by-step' plan, checklists, that sort of things.

    You should be reading the migration guide and then prepare your step by step..which is custom to your environment :-)
