Oracle9i 9.2 installation error

I am trying to install oracle 9idb on Red hat Advance server.

The Oracle home environment is properly set.

At tthe time of Creating and starting oracle instance it throws error ora-03113 end of file on communication channel .

what could be the problem .

You might not be havin enough memory..its a very generic error message..you need to check the log files and gives us more details

Did you set your semaphores and shmmax according to the oracle docs.

best way to track the error would be to create the database manually.

use the DBCA to create the scripts, then run them one by one...
and see at what step is this giving error...
