    Hi, all
Recently, We encounter a network problem. Our database is in U.S. and we have no problem in connecting to database from within US, but we also have clients in UK, when they try to connect to US from UK through the network, they often encounter the error message ORA-3113. I did a tnsping from the client in UK connecting to database in US, I observ that there is a spike up to 3 or 4 seconds in every one hundreds or so. Obviously the connection was disrupted somewhere along the line.
Could somebody shed some light on this, especially the approach to resolve it? Where can I get more specific info, white paper or anything helpful? Any input would be appreciated.

Try ORA 3113. I'm gonna check if I have the Doc ID for it.

Sorry, dont have the doc id on me right now, but it's there on Metalink. Use ORA 3113 for search.
