Hi,
I'm trying to be DBA for a few months now, and one thing that keeps suprising me (and there are a lot actually), is the huge number of CD's we receive from Oracle.
The new releases O.K., but what is the difference between Standard, Enterprise and Personal Edition?
Thx,
Rik

personal is for Win9x although the new Personal edition 8.1.7 is for NT/2000 only. basically peronal edition is for people to test stuffs, small tuffs
standard edition hasnt got some options for large databases such as partitioning or advanced replication
enterprise is the good one, it has everything
