When I'm backing up a redo log files, I can just copy it correct?

I don't have to put it in a backup mode or anything right?

    thanks

Backing up the redolog would prove to be a mistake at times. The redo would contain all the SCNs and when you get to restore it during the recovery, you would start encontering at times some miss match issues with the control file and etc. Be careful and cautious.

BE cautous of copying redo log files if yr database in archivelog mode. It can cause problems during recovery. Otherwise to backup just copy the files. No special commands is needed.
