    Restore/Recover reading from network drive

I did RMAN backup on network drive using ,

Metalink Note:145843.1 "How to Configure RMAN to Write to Shared Drives"

So "\\remote_server_ip\share_name\04K6H50D_1_1" is the backup location.

Now,how can I restore using this backup? Will the restore files be stored on this remote server?

Sorry Geeks, but I am very very new to oracle. So please tell if I am wrong somewhere.

    Using backup files from remote_server.

Sorry,I want to restore files on local machine only....

I did RMAN backup on network drive using ,

Metalink Note:145843.1 "How to Configure RMAN to Write to Shared Drives"

So "\\remote_server_ip\share_name\04K6H50D_1_1" is the backup location.

Now using this backup,I want to restore on local machine.

How to specify backup file while restoring?
