    Which version of Oracle should I pursue certification

    I have been an Access programmer for 10 years, dabbling just a little with SQL. Looking at the current job market it appears Oracle DBAs are in high demand. I have decided to pursue certification, but am questioning which version to pursue first...9g, 10g, or 11g.
    Any suggestions?
    Also which programming language should I focus on in conjunction, visual basic, C#, C++?

    if you are going to start,11g is the obvious choice

    but if you expect to get a job from just a certification, you are mistaken as most places require experience
