Hi there, I just finished setting up an ASM-10g-2nodes RAC (10.2.0.1). Yesterday, I was able to upgrade the CRS to 10.2.0.4 and RDBMS to 10.2.0.4 on the first node. (I followed the instructions in the readme). After the RDBMS was upgraded to 10.2.0.4, I was able to bring up the first node without any issues. But as soon as I tried to bring up second node (instance), the second instance crashed, I check the alert file, it indicated that I can only start this instance as UPGRADE/MIGRATE option. I think my controlfile in the second node is out of sync or something so my question is if a node within a RAC is screwed up, what's the best way to recreate it and how does this impact the working node (instance 1) and the ASM files..please advise.
