    Export procedure's

    Hi All,
    Can anyone tell how to import/export only the stored procedure from a DB.
    please advise

    imp and exp are command lines tools, not intended for use from stored procedures

    I just want to know is there any way to export only the procedures, packages in the database.Then how

    Hi.

    If you are on 10g you might want to look up dbms_metadata.get_ddl

    You might also want to look at
    http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/...:1464804639878

    search for getallcode_INSTALL on that thread.

    You can also get that sort of thing from Jdeveloper or SqlDeveloper or Pl/Sql Developer

    I'm in agreement with other posters this is not the way you want to do it but... you can always export with rows=no and import with ignore=y; be aware imp will try to create all objects found in your dump file and also be prepared to check a lot of error messages in your log.

    yes i am always aware about that, that's why i looked in this way to only import the procedures...
