    I tried posting the shots here, but got this error message:

    asm_config2.doc:
    Your file of 721.0 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 100.0 KB for this filetype.

    Is there a way to by-pass this?

    regards,

    Hi

    Can you list all your raw devices which you are planning to give to ASM with permissions.

    I'm planning 2 use just this single raw device; this is for testing & it is owned by oracle with 660 permissions as below:

    $ cd /dev
    $ ll ora*
    crw-r--r-- 1 oracle dba 20, 0 Nov 8 11:42 ora_db_hd1_35G

    Hi

    I am just thinking since you have only one raw device maybe thats why OUI has greyed out the checkbox for you as you dont have a choice have you clicked on the next button and see what happens
