    drilling down a view

    Hi Friends,

Is there any tool or data dict to trace what/which/where the origin tables comprising my VIEWS. We have a third party apps in which some tables/views are granted to a USER then the user creates a synonym or another view joining another view or table on it and grant to other user which then create another synonym ( something like this). I am confused how to look for the original table in which the view is based.

    Thanks a lot

You can find out the table names from TEXT column of DBA_VIEWS.
