    Preinstallation Check

    Hi,

How to check the Kernal params in Solaris 5.10.
Seems like Sysdef doesn't give shm and sem values anymore.

All you have to set is SHMMAX, more in metalink doc 169706.1.
Preinstall checks doc 189256.1, check your platform and RDBMS version for the exact doc.

You are right, excuse me it came outoff flow. Thanks davey23uk for correcting.

OP has to read the docs, since all the /etc/system parameters have been obsoleted. Need to use the Resource control facility which uses projectadd to set the only parameter shmmax, rest the OS would take care.

    Check /etc/project if set.
