    imp from command prompt

    Dear All
    I am using ora9i and windows 2000 server, i am trying to import the .dmp file from command prompt, using the cmd [B]imp user/pwd file=backup.dmp full=yes[/B] the process start and i receive import terminated without warnings but i found that no data added to the new user or the existing user (i want to replace the existing user data).
    Is there any problem in importing. plz give me the sugession
