    Question Restore the 10g database

    URGENT URGENT
    We have 10g database on Redhat
    I want to restore the database as of end of Aug 2006 for auditors.
    We do have system backup files.

    How do I do this? What all files do I need from the backup?

    what do u mean by system backup? cold backups of file systems?
    do u back it up daily? Do you use RMAN to backup database?

    Yes...coldbackup of the file systems.
    Yes, we do backup daily and we don't have backups using RMAN.

    As far as I know I have to restore all data files, log files and control files for that day. I will also restore init.ora.
    Am I missing any files?
