    Yes,

8.1.7 is definately certified - I think 8.1.6 is as well, but I'd need to check to be definate.

8.1.5i is not compatiable with win2K . But as a database , you can still use it , enterprise manager function may not work

    windows 2000

    Thanks everyone,

Having checked my CDs, I've noticed that 8.1.5 just specifies being for NT, whereas 8.1.6 says that it's for NT and Windows 2000 . Plus, the Oracle documentation only refers to Releases 2 and 3 for Win 2k, so I'm going to try to install 8.1.6.

    Be careful on 8.1.6.0.0

    Hi,
U all need to take precaution on the 8.1.6.0.0 - This version might cause u start database manually if u use the Windows 2000. The status for Oracle Service always 'Starting'. You might need to apply the version 8.1.6.1.1 and 8.1.6.1.4

    Hopes this will useful
