Indexing Problem

hi all,

oracle 9i windows version

I use file system document store. Every 1 hour I synchronize
index (sync_index), and every 5 hour I optimize the
Index (OPTIMIZE_INDEX),
at this time it is unable to delete
the file physically from the harddisk.


1. Is there anyway to delete the file from hard disk
while in index?
2. Is there a way to findout if the rebuild of index
is over?
