Whens guns and big oil meet.

Gun Organization Takes On an Energy Giant

In response to the firings, Oklahoma lawmakers passed a bill that would bar property owners from restricting those without felony records from keeping firearms in a locked vehicle. But that measure, to take effect in November, has now been blocked by the companies' lawsuit..
The companies involved in the lawsuit say that with about 17 killings a week in American workplaces, it was sound policy and within their rights as property owners to ban weapons from their parking lots.
According to NRA numbers less than 5% of people who own guns are in the NRA. How ironic.

The rifle association, which says 90 million Americans own guns, is asking its 4 million members and others not to patronize Conoco or Phillips 66 gas stations.

Isn't it more relevant to say, why would anyone want to own a taser when you can own an AK-47 and make it fully automatic?

The problem with them is that they kill people too easily. You get to use the taser every day

For some that is more of an opportunity than a problem.

My brother-in-law in the UK was under a similar rule from his large corporate retail employer ... it made no sense at all to anyone, especially in the context of the kind of creative work that he and his collegues did.
