    tuning considerations for a table

    Hi,

    I have to design a table which has about 10000 records getting inserted every minute. The updates are not much, maybe aabout 5% will get updated max. What kind of tuning considerations I must keep in mind for this kind of table. Please advice.

    Thanks hrishy. Do I consider a Tablespace with large few datafiles or small many datafiles? Would it matter eitherway?

    What operating system ?

    How big is the database ? Whats the underlying file system ? How big would you expect the tablespace to be .

    search this forums please few days ago i had a similar question
