    Question Multimaster Replication

    Oracle 9.2.0

    Master = DB1
    Replicated database = DB2

    I'm planning on setting up multimaster replication to offload a heavily queried schema (which is also updated through triggers) to another Oracle Server Box.

    My question is, can I delete rows from the master (DB1) without those deletions being propagated to the replicated database (DB2)

    The rational behind this is to keep the DB1 database as small as possible to improve performance while querying on the much larger database DB2.

    The logistics of this have been worked out and no application conflicts will occur.

    What I wanted to know is - is this possible.

    Many thanks in advance for your help.
