    Is this guy for real?

    http://blogs.ittoolbox.com/eai/leade...ves/004098.asp

I am flabbergasted but re-reading the "article" a number of times, I still didn't see any point other than the author was just India-blashing. There were other articles that he published which does the same, http://blogs.ittoolbox.com/eai/leade...ves/003646.asp

Another example of a website which can't sell good stuff so they better sell gossip/trash/10 cents cheap porn at the metro.

A guy here in holland got shot dead because he just couldn't stop saying things on the arab culture whixh were too sensitive for the arabs.

We all must learn to practice restraint.

Well, I'm not saying I agree with the fella but you have to understand there's a lot of individuals out there who would just eat this article up. Many o' people have lost thier jobs because of outsorcing to India. Companies have realized that India is vast resource of cheap labor. The sad thing of it is that the Indians don't realize they could commend the same salary as we do. India has the worlds best I.T. college but yet Indians choose to go to other parts of the world instead of staying home to make their country a better place.

I've seen where a company will hire 6 Indians to come do a project and those 6 Indians will go live in a one bedroom apartment and eat nothing but curry and rice for the next 6 months. They do it for one or two reasons. The company is only paying them like 10 bucks an hour or they're sending all their paycheck home.

It's really sad if you think about it... Company A outsources to company B in India. Company A sends the code spec to Company B. Company B ships the code back to Company A... for the next 3 months both Companies ship the code back and forth because of bugs. Meanwhile if company A were to simply hire a few local developers the project would be done much quicker. Is it the poor developers fault who's working for $.50 an hour and doesn't speak a word of English?

Can't wait for input on this!
    Oracle it's not just a database it's a lifestyle!

    I agree.
Outsourcing has major problems. A friend has just started a consultancy firm in Beijing and the whole culture difference is a MAJOR drawback.

But still I'd be pissed off if my job went to some poor ghanian(NOTE: next stop is Africa, Big companies will drop india/china soon) fella who will slave for a loaf of bread.

So it's the guy with the fat wallet who's shopping.

Well... They usually start with visiting countries just to gain experiance( and of course to increase price ).And a lot of them do return.I have a lot of colleagues who went to US/UK/Germany for onshore implementation/support/development,and returned to their homeland as fast as they could.

This could happen between two local companies too.

Unix is user friendly. It's just very particular about who it's friends are.

It does. Becuase of the spices it uses. Turmeric, cinnamon, cardamon....etc

Hmmm, well in the UK indian men have a much higher incidence of colon cancer than the populations average. Personally I do not think that I have an elevated risk, because I find that a robust rogan josh or a medium vindaloo pays my colon much too fleeting a visit to have any lasting effect on it.
