    Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to run different versions of the database (7.3.4 and 8.1.6)
on the same machine parallel. I know about multiple Oracle Homes, but we found out that Oracle uses a lot of system logicals and do not know if there would be a problem.
Do we have to keep anytthing in mind during installation?
    Regards,
    Antje

You can use different orahomes with different oracle versions.
The problem could be the memory of your machine and the kind of databases you are getting.
