    Really Stupid Question

    Dear all,

Apologies for the most stupid question ever! I am from a SQL Server background although I worked with Oracle years ago. At the time the only tool I had available to me was SQL Plus, i.e no wizards for creating tables, indexes etc, or anything. My question is this: Is there a tool similar to SQL Server Enterprise Manager for Oracle? A nice front end interface where you can click buttons to get things done rather than typing out the DDL etc?

    Sorry for being dumb....

Have you looked at Oracle Enterprise Manager, in 8i its dba studio? The basic tool comes standard with Oracle. By the way you need to try a lot harder if you want to "ask the most stupid question ever."

What about TOAD? With the DBA pack it's a nice little tool.

Thanks for that. Was just curious really. I'll have a search round for some info on them!

    Cheers!
