    Performance issue after upgrade from 9.2.0.3 to 9.2.0.5

    Guys,

    after we've done a release from 9.2.0.3 to 9.2.0.5 (server and clients), our system is running a lot slower.
    I've opened a tar at Oracle, but they can't really give me an answer.

    We run stats every day, so they should be fresh.

    Does anyone know of a problem like this (changes in the optimizer,...). Is there something I could do to maybe refresh ALL stats in the db? (I don't use the package dbms_stats yet, we run an sql with analyze command for every table...)

    Thx,

    Rik

    If you're not using the dbms_stats package I would highly advise that you do. Use it on one schema and see if there's a difference.
    Code:
    execute dbms_stats.gather_schema_stats('SCHEMA',CASCADE=>TRUE);
    Oracle it's not just a database it's a lifestyle!

    Yup, what he said.

    Get used to it now since analyze is going the way of the Do Do in 10G.
    I remember when this place was cool.

    Arbe,

    Where is the major difference in perf between 9.2.0.3 and 9.2.0.5?
    If you have it statspack reports, post the diff only.
