    Patriot Act

    Well, at least our Judiciary System is working.

    A US District Judge strikes down part of the the Patriot Act.

    My favorite part:
    He noted that the Supreme Court recently said that a "state of war is not a blank check for the president when it comes to the rights of the nation's citizens.
    Just a footnote on this... the case was labeled Doe v. Ashcroft. Anybody out there remember how Ashcroft got his job? He was appointed by Bush because Ashcroft lost his Senate seat to a DEAD man (Mel Carnahan)! In the words of Robin Williams..."Gee, sorry John, the dead man scares us less than you do"

    "Patriot Act" - is that the one that says that anyone who disagrees with GWB is a traitor?

    Not for long - was reading on CNN that the next Pres. gets to pick and appoint a lot of judges - so if W comes in again expect to see a lot more ash-clones!!
