Republican "Good, less competition, more job security"

Democrat "Oh those poor innocent people at Peoplesoft, they did not deserve this invasion. They were no threat to Oracle"

How come I knew you'd have an opinion, MH!

I just didn't expect you to make it a political discussion! You now know where I stand on the political stage... but, I actually could care less whether Oracle takes over Peoplesoft or not. So, maybe this isn't really a political issue.

I guess I'm kind of interested in what people think as Oracle professionals.

Face it, until December EVERYTHING will be a political issue.
I thought I fairly represented both sides.

So it must be! But I hope it's only till November this time! My birthday is the day after the election... so if Bush gets ousted...It'll be the best BDay present ever! (Actually the best bday present is the fact that all those political commercials will be OVER!)

I thought I fairly represented both sides.
Well, at least the stereotypical views. Like I said, I don't care either way. But according to you.. I should be outraged.

We have to wait till at least December for the dust to settle and for you Libs to heal up after the shellacking you will get. Then you can look forward to 4 more years of bitching, pissing, and moaning.

    Did we go off topic?

Looks like any in-country terrorists don't have to wait 'till December for a Christmas present -- the repubs have just given them access to military-style assault weapons by not allowing a vote on renewal of the ban. Just how dumb are these people?

    (Yeah, I know, the Christmas/Islam thing doesn't work -- it's a metaphor)

I work for neither. So I don't particularly care.

Also, it impacts business applications more than anything else. As an Oracle DBA, I think its for the better. Let'em take over - the more the applications on Oracle databases, the better my prospects.

Ah, now that's a reason we can all relate to.
