    Because it doesn't make any sence, considering the way indexes work internaly and how their blocks are reused. Freelists on indexes behave totaly different meaning and behavior as they have on tables. Read the Concepts Manual....

    Could you please provide me with the full name of the manual, cuz i searched in oracle 9i database concepts book but didn't find any thing related to PCTUSED in indexes!

    Why do you think you would find something on PCTUSED on indexes in the Concepts manual IF IT ISN'T USED!! Try finding the Concepts manual and reading it instead of searching it...
