    database upgradation/migration from 8.0.5 to 9i

I have oracle database version 8.0.5 want to upgrade to 9i.

I have gone through oracle doc, it say if it is 8.0.5 then upgrade to 8.0.6 then migarte directly to 9i using ODUA or manual method.

if i want to follow oracle doc method i should have 8.0.6 software installed to upgrade my 8.0.5 to 8.0.6 and then to 9i but i donot have 8.0.6 s/w installed in my server

Request you people to guide me how can i proceed for migring my 8.0.5 database to 9i

unless u can't upgrade from 8.0.5 to 8.0.6 then u can't migrate to 9i.In this case what u can do is install 9i in a seperate home create the table spaces and users as in 8.0.5.Take export from 8.0.5 and import into 9i.
