    actually i tried this in VMS with VMS administrator ..
    but setting two_task is not working .

    is there some other time in vms which is similar to two_task ...

    in metalink i saw

    defining but don't understand this stuff ...

    ====================
    How to set the TWO-TASK logical under VMS.
    Search Words: ORA_DFLT_HOSTSTR
    mailbox driver
    Solution Description:
    =====================
    The correct TWO-TASKING logical to set on VMS is "ORA_DFLT_HOSTSTR".
    i.e. $ define ORA_DFLT_HOSTSTR "t:appsunEMO"
    In addition, set the pipe driver to "2" rather than "P". For VMS, the equivalent driver is the mailbox driver.
    i.e. $ define ORA_DFLT_HOSTSTR "2:"
    In order to use the mailbox driver, the customer will have to have installed SQL*Net and configured SQL*Net to install the mailbox (a.k.a two-task) driver.

    Solution Explanation:
    =====================
    Setting the "TWO_TASK" variable is UNIX specific. Also, the "TWO_TASK=P:" variable is UNIX specific.
