    clean up oracle homes

    Hi Friends,

I got lots of unused ORACLE_HOMES on my development server as a result of intalling and reinstalling oracle software (of which some are from unsuccessful install). How can i cleanly remove these unnecessary homes without affecting the good one? I already tried OUI deinstalling the product but it did not remove the product_home.

    Thanks a lot...

    Hi,
If you have multiple ORACLE_HOMES on UNIX box ,then you can remove the unwanted Oracle Homes by using the rm -rf .
If you have multiple ORACLE_HOMES on NT machine , then you can delete the unwanted Oracle Homes as well as remove their entries from the registery under \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE
