    Lite vs Personnal

    Hi

Can you please let me know what are the main differences between Oracle Lite and Oracle Personnal Edition.

I want to set up a small database server on a Laptop with 64MB of RAM for training purposes.
Nothing hard, just creating 2 or 3 databases, creating tablespaces, creating users and objetcs and learning statspack (optionnal).
This is for a trainee I have and I rather let him play around a while before touching any live databases "production or developpment"

    Regards

If this is for development purposes, then you caninstall enterprise edition at no charge under a development license.

However, I'd be tempted to go for Standard Edition. Failing that, Personal.

Thanks for your advice. I am gonna use the Entreprise Edition.
Oracle Lite is not the appropriate choice for sure.

If you realy have only 64MB RAM on your laptop I recommand you to install oracle 8.0 because with 9.2 you need a least 256MB RAM if you have the DB as well as the client working on the same PC.
