    application server on solaris

    hi,
We have a URL pointing to AS on win2000 server. We had deployed those forms application on solaris machine and they are accessible within network. If we change the URL to point to the solaris machine AS, it is not working. Our team is quite new to solaris environemnt.Do we have to change any configuration within solaris/apache to make the URL work with solaris machine.Any help is highly appreciated. At present we use solaris machine IP address in the firewall configuration.

    regards and thanks

    Oracle Apps I presume?

For what it's worth in PeopleSOft app server when you change to new machine you need to update a few Oracle tables to reflect the new machine name/ip address etc

    hi
Sorry If I was not clear.I am using 9iAS server on solaris.
I am able to access the applications server using either hostname / IP address within the network.
    http://ipaddress:7779/forms90/f90servlet

I am able to ping the soalris machine from the firewall. But when I am trying to reroute it from an external request, I am unable to reach the solaris machine.
Do I have to modify any OS level / oracle webserver files in solaris to make this work.

    thanks.
