    sys password

    Hi DBAs,

    Can I change the sys user password from (change_on_install).

    hi,
    log in as sys and type

    alter user sys identified by new_password;

    the default password kinda gives the answer away don't you think?

    I think in 10G the default should be
    change_after_install_rightaway!!!!

    certainly,you can and you shoud change the sys password as soon as you finished install oracle
