Oms - How Start Service On W2000?
Hi, all!!
I´ve folloed all steps related on http://download-west.oracle.com/docs...a96673/ch3.htm document (Configuring and controlling the management server), but I am not getting to start MANAGEMENTSERVER Service. It returns no error message. When I try to use OEMCL START OMS, just get a message saying me to type "NET HELPMSG 3534", Wich says me to contact network administrator, only.
I have oracle 9i installed.
Can someone help me?? How can I Start this service.
Without it, I can´t use some important tools to configure ans manage my DB!!!
I would realy appreciate any help!!

1. Create the OEM repository.
2. On Windows 2000, you can start and stop the Agent Services: Go to Start menu = Settings = Control Panel = Administrative Tools = Services. Select the OracleAgent service.
3. Connect using oem console. login as oem superuser.

Thanks for all your reply!!
In my oms.nohup, I get an ora 12640 ERROR. Fail starting autentication adapter.
Any suggestion?? I realy don´t understand what it mean and what have I to do to fix it!!
Maybe I am a fool asking it, but, in other hand, I am trying to learn to leave to be!!!
thanks All!

The fix is
Code:
Remove the line sqlnet.authentication_services=(NTS) from the
ORACLE_HOME\network\admin\sqlnet.ora file on the client and server
or set sqlnet.authentication_services=(NONE)

Realy thanks!!
This last reply fixed a little piece of my problem, and I am realy happy, ´cause it seams like we are finding the line to follow to fix definitely it.
I am still not getting to start service, but now error is 12154 TNS could not resolve service name.
Listen!! My db, where repository is located, is configured, I have a lot of users acessing it. In my tnsnames.ora, I have a key pointing to it, with Enterprise Manager Console I get access to it, in NETManager, I get access to.
So, I think that problem is in another place, but I don´t know where.
Please, help me!!!!
Realy, Realy thanks to all!!
