Password file , what am I missing here????

delete the service using ORADIM -delete -sid ....... and then use ORADIM -new -sid to add the service back on

Thanks Mike. I know we can create, start, stop, modify(instance name, the startup mode, or the shutdown mode), and delete instances using ORADIM.

But I was not sure that we can recreate the password file using ORADIM. Always thought services are not to be deleted once the instance has been created. After going through the documentation again, I learnt more of it. I have hardly use ORADIM utlity, never having had a need to manually create the database.

U are creating only a related service by ORADIM not a password file.
