Question Why my management server has probems?

    HI, everyone:

    Please help me...

Why i cann't log in the Oracle Enterprise Management Server?
i tried to log in Oracle Management Server with the default [sysman/oem_temp] ,and i filled the Managemant Server field with my computer name. After clicking OK , an error messge comes up,it shows "VKT-1000: Cann't connect to Management Server XXX(my computer name) .... ". i tried the Managemant Server field with "localhost","127.0.0.1", and blank, but the error is the same.

    background:
During installation, i countered an error with my CD's bad data blocks,so i canceled the installation and deleted all the files that being copyed to my computer. and i downloaded the Oracle from Oracle's offical website, during installing the new version Oracle, i counted a problem again, that was "OracleOraHome90PagingServer has installed",i ignored the error(it was the only way).

so i could not log in , then i uninstall the Oracle and reinstalled it. the problem was the same, i still could not log in Oracle Enterprise Management Server.

    Thanks very much

What about the agent?. Is it installed successfully?.Did u installed the repository successfully? What is your OS?If it is Windows check the status of agent and Management server status in services, if they are not started start them and then try to log into Management server

Unhappy it was still the same problem!!!

    thank you very much!
My OS is Windows 2000 Server, I have started the all Oracle Services, they are :
    OracleMTSRecoveryService
    OracleOraHome90Agent
    OracleOraHome90ClientCache
    OracleOraHome90HTTPServer
    OracleOraHome90PagingServer
    OracleOraHome90SNMPPeerEncapsulator
    OracleOraHome90SNMPPeerMasterAgent
    OracleOraHome90TNSListener
    OracleServicePROSFT

but which is the management server, and where can i check it's stutas?

is it the only way that i must uninstall it, but after uninstallment, there are still have some oracle services in the Services, but the files have been deleted.
is there any way to 'delete the services',if they are still there, i will meet the same install problem.

thank you very much, please give me more tips!!!!

There will be a configuration assitant to configure your management server under the menu programs- oracle home - enterprise manager. once this configuration is complte with the repository there witll be a seperate service calle Oracle Management server this has to be started . Try to put none in sqlnet file for
    SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (None)
then start the sevice it should work. Hope this helps
