    Install problem with Windows 2000

I am trying to install a oracle client(8.1.7) on Windows 2000 workstation. But the installation did not go well. Right after the popup window 'Oracle8i Enterprise Edition', I click 'Install/Deinstall Products' option, nothing shows up. I can 'Browse Documentation' and 'Explore CD'. I tried this CD on other machine, it worked. And Other CD also worked on this machine. What could be the problem?

    Thank you!

    Lisa

If this is a pentium 4 you need to do a search on this site. As this issue has been discussed many times already. There is a work around that can be found both on this site and on Metalink.
