Oracle 9i Installation Failure - Windows

Hi,
I am trying to install oracle 9i rdbms in my personal computer which is a Intel celeron processor(800mhz) with 256mb ram and having windows 2000 professional service pack 2.I previously installed oracle 8i which was removed later and the installation went fine.But for the 9i installation when i click the install button in oui,nothing is happening.What could be the problem???What i need to do to install on my pc.

Copy oracle software on local drive, and rename symcjit.dll to symcjit.old, which you will find in following path:

\\oracle\stage\Components\oracle.swd.jre\1.1.7.30\1\DataFiles\Expanded\jre\win32\bin

Once done execute \\oracle\install\win32\setup.exe.

When u click OUI from Programs>Oracle Installation Products....

See in task manager if SETUP.exe & jrew.exe are running.

If not then there may be N/w Issues...

Try restarting ur SYS and see if u can reach the host machine where the S/W resides....
