    no access to database???

    I'm getting an Ora12638 error on login-"Credentials retrieval failure"

    Can anyone help?

    Platform? RDBMS version?

    If you are using NT and OS authentication it is possible the user you are trying to use is not a member of the domain (or the domain is not avilaible)

    Thanks, did a restart. It seemed that the domain authentication was the problem.
