    Question 9i OEM agents - problems

    I am currently running the new 9.2.0 version of OEM, monitoring 9i agents and databases, all on windows NT/2000.

    Everything works ok, but every two days or so the OMS complains that it is unable to contact one of the agents on one of the nodes.

    I'm only monitoring 4 nodes at the moment (plans to take this to 20 when we upgrade our OEM 2.2 boxes) and whilst bouncing the agent and refreshing the node clears the problem it is happening with alarming regularity. The network is fine, as our other OEM 2.2 boxes are running ok.

    Has anyone else hit similar issues?

    Also has anyone else tried monitoring a 734 database with an 8i agent through a 920 OMS? My initial testing appears to work.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    I have encountered similar issue with 8.1.6 agent and had to apply a patch but I think you can resolve the issue by installing 8.1.7 agent or 9i agent.
